The iPhone. A handheld device that allows a user to run their entire life from a single, battery operated computer. The phone, which has taken AT&T customers by storm (and the world) was introduced less than three years ago, sold over 8 million phones by the time it was one year old. Although some think it’s the best idea since selling beer on Sundays, some people (like me) think it’s more of a cult.

Lady Gaga and Social Media

As her new video Telephone’s success suggests- over 7 million views in 3 days.  A week later, a Google search for telephone shows the 375+ articles about the video before even a description of the communications device. Whether one loves her or hates her, they have to admit, she gets attention. If there is someone out there who shows the potential of the union of social media and celebrity, it is Lady Gaga.

I recently got a few beta invitations to share to join Shelfster, a free online sharing and storage service. You can drag and drop  text, photos, and documents from your desktop to your Shelfster account online. Additionally, you can also store IM conversations, emails, images, and websites from your internet browser to your account. In addition, you can also create and share new content, like recipes, story ideas, and guest lists.
