Here’s another great tool that can be used to find out who is tweeting links to your website, even if they haven’t mentioned your twitter username OR they’ve used a URL shortener.
With a short and simple homepage that closely resembles Google, BackTweets is a great service that gives you a list of every Twitter user who has tweeted a link to your site, including the entire tweet, their username, and when it was posted.
Better yet, simply entering the main domain (eg ‘http://thesocialrobot.com’) will yield results for all links in that URL, even if they are to other directories on the site or static blog posts.
This tool is great for thanking the users who have shared your post and to follow them. It also shows the popularity of your website and content based on who is regularly tweeting about website.
For an example, view the search for The Social Robot on BackTweets.
