The recently-launched website LikeButton.Me is a quick look at what Facebook is trying to accomplish with their new OpenGraph platform. If you are already logged into Facebook in your browser, you and your friend’s activity will already appear on the screen.
Surprisingly, I also found other news websites and platforms on LikeButton.Me that had already located my friends on these other sites and showed me what they had been doing on there- mainly what links they had shared.
While many people may have problems with this type of OpenGraph platform, Facebook is simply trying to further connect us to our friends around the web, beyond facebook.
Another enjoyable feature are popular articles on sites like CNN.com that thousands of people have shared. This gives a great snapshot into what people are reading on the web.
