The Social Robot: Live from SXSWi

By Kelsey Jones

swswi2012 thumb The Social Robot: Live from SXSWiBethaney and I will be joining the rest of the other tech nerds next week for South by Southwest Interactive, a conference that boasts these impressive stats:

Interactive Conference Participants: 19,364
Interactive Conference Sessions: 935
Approximate Number of Interactive Media in Attendance: 2,508

Yep. Pretty big deal. I’m hoping to meet Rainn Wilson and perhaps make eye contact with Seth McFarlane, wish me luck.

However, all fun aside, there are several amazing sessions led by experts in our industry that we can’t wait to learn a ton from. I will be live tweeting as much as my batteries allow from @wonderwall7 and @thesocialrobot.

Bethaney and I will be attending separate sessions so we can get the most out of the experience. There are several sessions on blogging, content, and social media that we know will not only benefit us as professionals in the internet marketing industry, but our clients as well.

In the meantime, if you’d like to sponsor us in exchange for wearing a company t-shirt or have any suggestions for food/fun/tips in Austin (like the best BBQ or TexMex), let us know.

Finding Blog Ideas Through Google Analytics Keywords

By Kelsey Jones

It’s easy to run out of ideas when it comes to blogging, especially if you are blogging more than once per week. While some people prefer to use Google Alerts or write down ideas in a notepad as they come, there is another way to get blog post ideas from the exact people that the posts are catered to- the readers and visitors of the website.

Utilizing the keywords that search engine users typed in to get to your website is a great way to quickly see the type of content that visitors are looking for. To access the Keyword Report from Google Analytics, go into the website profile of the blog URL, then go to Traffic Sources, and then click on the Keywords tab:
