A freelancer friend and I attended Podcamp Topeka, an “unconference” about social media, blogging, and internet marketing, last Saturday, November 6th. There were several sessions to choose from, from SEO to blogging for companies. I had an overall positive experience and am planning on attending next year.

Facebook offers an option to download all your profile information, including all your photos, as a single zip file. This is what Facebook says about their Download Your Information service:

2010 Map of Online Communities
What if the online world translated into a literal geographic map? Well, comic artist Randall Monroe of xkcd.com made this vision come true in his 2010 Map of Online Communities. This is an update from his 2007 Map, and a few significant changes can be seen, like the growing realm of Facebook and the introduction of Farmville.
